Laboratory diagnostics are medical tests designed to detect infections, conditions and diseases. Biological samples such as blood, body fluid, tissue and urine are isolated from the human body to provide results. Today, AI is playing an integral role in the evolution of the field of laboratory diagnostics, especially in the field where manual microscopy is required.

Machine vision and other machine learning technologies can improve diagnosis compare to manually looking under the microscopes. This AI wouldimprove speed and accuracy of diagnoses and capable of integrating image recognition to diagnose. In machine learning and deep learning process, researchers feed the computer with thousands of images with labels based on the cells size, morphology, structure and diameter. The labeled regions were then become examples that served as the basis for the model that would train the algorithm. Machine vision is emerging as a common tool in these diagnostic applications in the field of urinalysis and hematology.AI have the potential to impact how clinicians and health care systems approach in diagnostics.
